1.2 Camera Use (QR Codes, Barcodes, and Photos)

The App uses the device camera for two purposes:

  • Scanning QR codes and barcodes on sample labels and equipment

  • Capturing photos of samples or equipment for workflow and analysis

The App will only access the camera when you start a scan or take a picture.
It will request permission at runtime and will not use the camera without your consent.

We do not:

  • Use the camera for facial recognition

  • Capture images in the background

  • Use images for advertising

  • Store images on your device unless required for the workflow

Images captured through the App are uploaded securely to our backend systems.

You may revoke camera permissions at any time through your device settings.

1.3 Operational and Sample Data

We collect the information required to support oil analysis workflows. This includes:

  • Equipment and compartment information

  • Label and sample details

  • Scan results

  • Interpretation and analysis data

1.4 Offline Data

The App may save data locally when the device is offline.
When the network becomes available, the App automatically submits the pending data.
Offline data is removed after successful submission.

1.5 Technical and Device Data

  • Performance metrics
